STRUCTURE PLANS

Structure Plans set out the long-term vision and development framework for a specific parcel of land, including the general layout for roads, open space and drainage, community purpose sites, and residential, commercial, or industrial land use precincts.

Structure Plans are used by developers, local governments and planning authorities to ensure that their development projects support the broader community goals, environmental targets and regulatory requirements.

A Structure Plan generally takes 12 – 18 months to progress through the local and State government assessment process. Once approved, it will remain valid for a period of ten (10) years.
